Cudduri di Natale

Traditional Christmas sweet Sicilian formerly offered at the end of the Christmas novena.  They have a form "horseshoe" and their compound is obtained thanks to the use of dried fruit that has always symbolized the abundance and wealth in folk tales; it can be seen as it has a prominent place in the Sicilian dolceria produced over the Christmas period.


Ingredients pasta: 00 flour, sugar, lard, milk, eggs, herbs.

Filling: water, almonds, walnuts, peanuts, raisins, pistachio, sugar, wine baked figs of india.
