Cannola o funnu

The  “cannolo baked” is a sweet tradition, named after the reed that is used for the of waffle preparation  in dialect called "peel". It was originally packaged only at carnival, for the richness and complexity of his recipe. Today, this delicacy is produced throughout the year.
Cicero, during his stay in Sicily as superintendent, he  appreciated an ancestor of  the cannola  and he described as a tube of flour stuffed with a sweet food, milk-based.
The “cannoli” are filled just before eating, because otherwise "ci arimodda a scorcia" (It softens the wafer)

 

Ingredients: flour, sugar, lard, egg d 'egg, milk, natural flavors.
